I work on a Pay What You Can basis during the Fringe. I’m not undercutting other photographers, it’s because I’ve spent so many years – as a producer, or producerish – highlighting the financial constraints of performing arts work, especially the horrific profiteering during the Fringe, while also working on financial support initiatives for Fringe artists, it would be unethical not to.

Tell me your budget, what, where and when. I don’t do less work for less pay, and I don’t work to delivering a specific number of photos, because performing arts photography is what I do – that belongs to other types of photography work, doesn’t it?

I love working with artists and their companies and being part of their Fringe experience, so I wouldn’t turn people away due to budget. I do production (performance and/or rehearsal) and publicity work, and headshots, and shots for social media. Just please – try to be prompt. Please. Really, please.
