Photos of North Eastern graduate dance company Fertile Ground in rehearsal with Sky Arts winner Eleesha Drennan for a new work titled 'Shields of Bone'. The rehearsal took place at Space Six in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Rehearsal photos from the early creation stage of a dance/orchestral collaboration between Konstantin Boyarksy and The People Pile for a lunchtime recital at the Royal Opera House, London. Choreographed by Lucy Ridley, and the dancers include Miranda Mac Letten, James Finnemore, Lauren Bridle and Chris Rook.

These photo were taken of CoDa Dance Company in rehearsal in January 2013 at Roehampton University's Michaelis Theatre. In these photos, I specifically wanted to capture the personality of the company, with a particular emphasis on Daura Hernández García as her facial expressions were so eloquent. Half of the company had just finished rehearsing with Ceyda Tanc Dance, so it was rewarding to see them relax and unwind - and clown around a bit. CoDa Dance's website is www.codadance.com

CoCoDanse, founded by Austrian researcher Corinne Jolas, is preparing for a performance in 2014's Resolution! season at The Place, and having met her a few days ago, she invited me to her rehearsal the following morning to try and capture publicity images for her. The theme of the work in progress is waiting, which meant that much of the movement was internalised and improvised.

Not only is Ieva Kuniskis about to take 'Gone To Get Milk' to Lithuania to perform at the Baltic Dance Festival, she's having to take over Zoe Georgallis's role as she's unavailable for these performances. These photos were taken at a rehearsal at Chisenhale Dance Space, with various people invited to watch and offer feedback.

Having presented a sneak preview of Wolfpack at July's Cloud Dance Festival, John Ross has completed the work and is preparing to present the finished version at the November Cloud Dance Festival. Somewhat complicated by John being based in Leeds for the autumn, and with Tom Hands being scheduled for surgery right before these performances, this rehearsal took place during a flying visit by John to London to catch the company together before the first set of shows. The finished piece is very different in tone from the original excerpt, made all the more poignant due to the journey of Tom's character. The performances will be on 16 & 17 November at Bernie Grant Arts Centre in North London.

As part of a new series of rehearsal photos for Cloud Dance Festival, I photographed Kajdi in rehearsal in preparation for their upcoming performance on Saturday 6 July at Bernie Grant Arts Centre. While part of the rehearsal was spent recapping existing choreography, most of these photos are taken from an exercise in manipulation, which led to some interesting results.
