A protest outside Creative Scotland in response to the latest arts funding cuts for individual artists

Freelance artists campaigning outside Creative Scotland's offices in Edinburgh to commemorate the closure of their £6.6m funding strand for individuals at 2pm on 30 August 2024. Launched in 2014, the Open Fund has supported 2165 individual artists, investing £36,491,549 in 3005 projects over the past ten years; Creative Scotland only provided creative freelancers with 11 days' notice between their announcement of the fund's demised on 19 August 2024 and the fund's end on 30 August 2024 © Chantal Guevara.
